To update your clinic's scheduling settings in the PetDesk Communications dashboard:
Log in to your PetDesk Communications dashboard using the Admin login credentials.
- Click the settings tab on the bottom left of the dashboard
- Navigate to the Availability tab and then the Client Scheduling Limits subtab
- Make the necessary edits that work for your practice's schedule availability
You are able to accept same-day appointment requests by clicking the first checkbox. If same-day appointment requests are not accepted, you will be able to set how soon a client can request an appointment by entering the number of days, weeks, or months in the second row. "0" is not a valid entry.
- 1 week = 7 days
- 1 month = 30 days
The current maximums:
Providers are not able to make an entry for 182 days / 26 weeks / 6 months ahead, into the future.
Display appointment start times:
You are able to update your "display appointment start" times from this page as well. This setting influences the time increments in which you will be able to schedule appointments in the dashboard. The best practice is to set this increment to match your shortest appointment time.
Request and reconfirmation Communications:
You are able to adjust if you'd like to receive email communications when a client submits an appointment request using PetDesk and/or when a client confirms or cancels their appointment via PetDesk. The email the communications are sent to can be adjusted in the Basic Info tab of the dashboard settings. Only 1 email can be used at this time.
