Updating Business Hours, Lunch Breaks, & Special Hours

Your practice needs to be flexible and able to adapt quickly. That's why we put you in the driver's seat of your practice's appointment availability as displayed in the PetDesk mobile app. Review how to utilize these availability settings to minimize back-and-forth during scheduling and establish clear expectations when a client requests an appointment through PetDesk (both on the app and on the web)!
 


From the PetDesk Communications Provider Dashboard, you can update what your public business hours are for your clients to see on the PetDesk app by following the steps below:

Log in to your PetDesk Dashboard using the Admin login credentials.

  1. Click the settings tab on the bottom left of the dashboard

  2. Navigate to the Availability tab

  3. Click the pencil edit icon next to "Open Hours" or "Appointment Hours" to update your schedule
  4. Click Save

Other awesome features you might want to review on this page:

  • In this same Availability tab, you can block off Lunch Breaks to let your clients know you don't take appointments during that timeframe.
    • Limit is one lunch break per weekday; must be a unique name per lunch break; cannot modify existing lunch break names nor add frequency at this time.
  • This page also features the option to add Special Hours
    Set special hours for specific dates, such as holidays, half-day closures, or unexpected closures.
    • The limit is one special hour per date; the item cannot be modified once created. If needed, delete and re-create.
  • If you're looking to customize how and when your clients can request appointments online or the appointment increments, click the "Client Scheduling Limits" tab in this area of the dashboard.
