When an invoice is sent, a temporary pop-up will display on the upper right.
To confirm, you can review the Invoice tab, looking out for these icons
Opened: invoice has been opened by the pet parent
Sent: invoice has been sent to the pet parent, (via Email or SMS).
Unsent: invoice has been created but has not been sent to the client. Action needed on the clinic side to send.
